Rajyoga Meditation

It improves concentration power and gives you a “free pass” to meet invisible doctor. rajyoga improves your power of concentration and helps the inner light(soul) to manifest itself and also enables to meet the invisible doctor. this is responsible for the awakening of selfawareness; hence, one may penetrate to the very center of life’s highest values. rajyoga meditation helps us to rid ourselves of emotional conflict, inner discord and psychological tension. it completely purifies the mind and frees it from unconscious obstructions. importance of rajyoga meditation during rajyoga meditation, the body takes rest silently. so that positive energy (powerful thoughts) is absorbed into prana (vital force), as it happens in dreamless sleep. the hypothalamus recharges its energy during meditation, as it does during sleep.we may deduce from this, that sleep is an unconscious form of rest, whereas meditation is aconscious one, and hence it contains important therapeutic characteristics. the supremacy of rajyoga can be proved by experiencing the following psychological and physiological benefits, reaped by practicing rajyoga. simple neurobic exercises or relaxation can never bring such drastic changes in the lifestyle, attitude and biological markers of the body.

What is Rajyoga Meditation?

Yoga is a sanskrit word, which literally means “link” or “union”, (just as its antonym – vi yoga means “separation”). the word raja (or raj) means “king”, “sovereign”, or “supreme”. thus rajyoga is quite simply the communion of the soul (the king of its mind, intellect and all memories, records of habits, tastes, latent emotions, instincts etc known as sanskara) with the supreme soul (god).rajyoga empowers the intellect to exercise the power of discrimination, to choose positive thoughts. in rajyoga meditation, we use our most natural endowment of thinking to come to this realization. therefore, rajyoga means a mental connection or union achieved through remembrance. intellect, the receptacle of knowledge, is that which understands and remembers too. as long as the intellect remains focused on a person or thing, the soul experiences its qualities through  the faculty of the mind. when the intellect contemplates on the soul’s original attributes, these original qualities reappear naturally.

The original impressions (sanskars) are within us but we have to let them become thoughts and keep them flowing. the memory of the freedom and peace of the original state is indelibly recorded as sanskars (impressions in memory) of every soul. these positive experiences are based on desires and feelings on the screen of the mind, arising out of original primary and secondary qualities recorded as sanskars of the soul. when we gradually become attached to the five sense organs of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching and forget our original attributes, then our ability to harmonize with matter is supplanted by matter’s control over us. when this happens, we cease to be a divine perfect being and come to be known as an imperfect human being and continue to be naturally body conscious. we have called this practice not merely raja yoga, but easy raja yoga. this is because the method is so simple that people of all age levels and educational backgrounds can study it easily and achieve the highest results with very little effort. Rajyoga means tapping of cosmic energy from “god the infinite fountain of cosmic energy and all virtues”. in the course of practice of rajyoga, one tunes the mind to that very subtle frequency (alpha and delta) on which god is radiating his love, light and might by considering the self a soul, and then by focusing on a gentle stream of positive thoughts towards the supreme being.
